Founder’s Award Goes to Kemper Freeman Jr.

In honor of our 15th anniversary, Bellevue Police Foundation presented our Founder’s Award to Kemper Freeman Jr., who has supported the Bellevue Police Foundation since our inception and the entire community in many, many ways.

Kemper Development Company has been the single largest and most consistent supporter of the Bellevue Police Foundation. During our 15 year history, Kemper personally and KDC have collectively contributed over $175,000 to BPF’s fundraising efforts.

Kemper encourages his team to volunteer on our board of directors, sponsor and participate in all our events, including our newest golf tournament.

In addition to direct involvement by KDC employees, the Bellevue Westin and the Hyatt Grand Regency have also generously helped manage expenses related to our fundraising events.

Kemper has invested extensively in security for both Bellevue Square and Lincoln Square in downtown Bellevue. The Kemper Development Company (KDC) security team works closely with Bellevue Police to prevent and apprehend shoplifters, car thieves and others who try to commit crimes in downtown Bellevue. Their partnership was especially important during the 2020 riots that surrounded the downtown core.

Kemper, we can’t thank you enough for and for your support for our police and public safety.
